The Hon. Clint Dunford, MLA Lethbridge West and Minister, Alberta Human Resources and Employment, will deliver a brief update on activities undertaken by the Human Resources and Employment Ministry. The Department’s mandate is to assist people to meet their basic needs, to help Albertans find and keep work, and to help them be as independent as possible through fair and stable employment in a safe environment.
Minister Dunford will also talk about the debt-free status achieved by the province, and discuss a recent survey delivered to all Alberta households that asks for responses to several questions about government spending priorities.
Speaker: Clint Dunford was first elected in 1993, and elected to his third term as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Lethbridge-West in March 2001. He was subsequently re-appointed Minister of Alberta Human Resources and Employment, responsible for the Personnel Administration Office, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, Workers’ Compensation Board, and Appeals Commission for Alberta Workers’ Compensation. He was first appointed Minister of Alberta Human Resources and Employment in May 1999. He had previously served as Minister of Advanced Education and Career Development.
